Tracey Road Equipment, a leading distributor of trucks and construction equipment based in Syracuse, NY, is a $650 million equipment dealer with a significant rental focus.

To meet the broad spectrum of its customer equipment needs, Tracey Road Equipment has expanded its product and services portfolio into a most comprehensive one. Besides their wide range of makes and models, Tracey also provides a wide variety of services. They are well known for their vast equipment rental fleet, financing and insurance, their complete paint, body and frame shop, engine rebuilding and complete fleet maintenance programs.

Tracey’s large customer base includes small and large contractors, regional Departments of Transportation (DOTs), Small Highway Departments and Departments of Public Works (DPWs), Commercial Fleet Owners and Independent Truckers, Utility Companies, Industrial Manufacturers and Refuse and Recycling Operations.


Tracey Road Equipment wanted to consolidate and automate processes to meet long-term financial goals. In addition, the company required an integrated and efficient system to support their growth.

“With the limitations of our previous systems, we almost became victims of our own success” said Tracey Road Equipment President, Jerry Tracey. “Our rental business had grown rapidly over the past 10 years, but we had no system to manage rental contracts, inspections, complex pricing and rental invoicing. Our accounting system had to be largely manually fed from paper.” In order to prepare for the next growth wave, Tracey’s management team decided it needed to integrate its various operations and streamline processes.
