Founded in 1946, Kimball Equipment Company is a leading supplier of new and used aggregate equipment. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, Kimball has 9 locations across California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and Idaho.

With their previous system, Kimball struggled with inventory inaccuracy; their previous system failed to remove inventory after it had been sold at times. As a result, Kimball was looking for a new partner – one with the visibility and efficiency they desired. It was important to them to find a complete solution with strengths in every facet and equipped with a robust service feature.

Through their partnership with e-Emphasys, Kimball saw at least a 50% decrease in its service expense

Visibility was one of the most crucial features to Kimball. Materials Manager, Doug Earl, explained that the e-Emphasys platform has allowed Kimball to stay on top of projects and become more in tune with jobs in progress improving customer satisfaction. “We are able to follow up on our orders better,” added Case Sealey, Kimball’s Parts & Purchasing Manager, “We can see all the orders for our customers, and we can answer their questions quicker”.


With e-Emphasys, Kimball was able to streamline their financials and reporting. Lyle Ellis, Controller, explained, “At a click of the button, the information is there,” which has allowed them to generate information and get it out to decision makers faster.  “We have seen a significant reduction in the time required to generate financials” John Kimball said. He added, “And a lot of that, I think, is because e-Emphasys is designed to get a lot of things right up front”.
